Live At The Blue Rose Christmas Party 2008

Ende Mai kommen THE BAND OF HEATHENS für 3 Shows nach Deutschland zurück, außerdem stehen 6 weitere Auftritte in Holland und in Großbritannien auf dem Programm (siehe Tourdaten). Speziell für diese Kurztour haben wir eine exklusive Live-CD zusammengestellt, die es ausschließlich auf den Shows zu kaufen geben wird. Eventuelle Restbestände werden wir nach der Tour über unseren Mailorder anbieten. Sonst nirgendwo. Die CD enthält den Auftritt bei der Blue Rose Christmas Party vom Dezember 2008 in der Blues Garage in Isernhagen.
Der olle Beethoven ist schuld, dass wir nicht alle 18 Songs auf die CD packen können, denn wäre seine 9. Symphonie 100 Minuten und nicht "nur" 80 lang, dann hätten wir nicht die Qual der Wahl gehabt, welche Songs wir schweren Herzens von der CD "verbannen" müssen. Dran glauben mussten letzten Endes nach unterschiedlichen Kriterien "One More Step", ""Unsleeping Eye", "Rehab Facility" und "Ain't No More Cane". Doch wir haben einen Weg gefunden, die vier "missing songs" ebenfalls zugänglich zu machen: Wir bieten sie ab sofort zum kostenlosen Download als FLAC- und 256 kBit-MP3-Files über unsere DOWNLOADS-Seite an. Damit nicht genug: Außerdem kann das Artwork für eine CD-Inlaycard heruntergeladen werden, die bei der Nutzung der 4 Bonustracks gegen die Original-Inlaycard ausgetauscht werden kann (der CD-Rohling und die Doppel-CD-Box muss allerdings noch besorgt werden, so weit geht der Service dann doch nicht).

Gute Nachrichten allerdings für die Vinyl-Freaks unter den BOH-Fans: Das komplette Konzert inklusive der Rockestra-Beiträge gibt es bereits jetzt als Dreifach-Vinyl in der Personal Vinyl Edition zu kaufen!

Austin acclaimed THE BAND OF HEATHENS will be touring Europe in late May/early June 2009. Especially for this tour we produced a very special live album: The recording of the band's amazing show at the Blue Rose Christmas Party on December 13, 2008 in Hannover-Isernhagen. The band and the 500 people had a blast all night, beginning with a 90 minute set by The Band of Heathens and ending with a special performance of four rock classics: "Sin City" by Gram Parsons, "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" by Neil Young, "I've Got A Feeling" by The Beatles and "I Shall Be Released" by The Band. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to fit all the 18 songs on one CD (it's good ol' Beethoven's fault as his 9th Symphony runs just 80 minutes but 100…). We had to remove four songs from the disc but they won't disappear. They are available right here for a free download as high quality FLAC or 256 kBit-MP3 files. There is also a traycard image included, to be replaced with the original traycard if a bonus CD with the additional 4 songs will be used in the package.

Live At The Blue Rose Christmas Party will exclusively be available at the May/June 2009 shows. Remaining copies after the tour will be offered only through our webshop. Anywhere else.

However - we have good news for the vinyl freaks among the fans: the complete set including the Rockestra covers are available on triple custom vinyl NOW!
