Michael Sean Allman ist am 3. Juli 1996 geboren und in Daytona Beach, Florida aufgewachsen. Er ist der erstgeborene Sohn von Gregg Allman, Southern Rock Gott und Sänger der Allman Brothers Band. Blues Travels Fast ist Michael's zweites Album. Die europäische Version auf JukeJoint500 kommt mit einem Bonustrack. Das Vinyl (durchweg farbig) ist auf 500 Stück limitiert und ist exklusiv auf JukeJoint500.
Blues Travels Fast ist ein erwachsenes Southern Rock Album, welches sich bei den Genre-üblichen Einflüssen bedient – Blues, Country, Gospel – aber doch ist Michael Allman ein abwechslungsreiches und eigenständiges Album gelungen. Satte, den Song unterstützende Gitarrenarbeit, ein grundsolides Bass/Drums Fundament, eine Hammond B3 für das klassische Flavour und pechschwarze Gospel-Sängerinnen sorgen für den Southern-Gospel Background.
Knackige Rocker wie der Titelsong oder Goin’ Back To Daytona wechseln sich mit Balladen wie Rosehill ab. Letzteres eine Hommage an die Allman Brothers Band, die sich auf dem Rose Hill Friedhof in Macon, Georgia haben fotografieren lassen und eben dort kam Dickey Betts die Inspiration zu In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed. Bluesig geht es im Midnight Blues zu, der Brown Liquor Blues überrascht mit einem Honky Tonk Piano und mit Black Cat Moan aus der Feder von Don Nix covern sie gekonnt ein vergessenes Juwel. Feeling So Bad im Duett mit Schascle Yochim ist klassischer Southern Soul, der in den 70ern auch auf Stax hätte erscheinen können. Zudem gibt es mit A Mule Named Whiskey einen Bonustrack für die europäische JukeJoint500 Version. Schließlich endet das in klassischer LP-Länge gehaltene Album mit dem akustisch/bluesigen Sun Don't Shine. Michael Allman zieht auf Blues Travels Fast alle Register, ohne weder seinen Vater noch andere Southern Rock Größen zu kopieren.

Michael Allman was born on July 3, 1966. He was raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. His parents, GreggAllman (legendary musician) and go-go dancer Mary Lynn Sutton met at Daytona Beach, Florida.
Blues Travels Fast is Michael's second album. The european version on JukeJoint500 will feature one bonustrack. The vinyl is exclusive to JukeJoint500. Blues Travels Fast is a mature southern rock album that draws on the usual influences of the genre - blues, country, gospel - but Michael Allman has managed to create a varied and independent album. Rich guitar work supporting the song, a rock-solid bass/drums foundation, a Hammond B3 for the classic flavor and pitch-black gospel singers provide the southern gospel background. Crunchy rockers like the title track or Goin’ Back To Daytona alternate with ballads like Rosehill. The latter pays homage to the Allman Brothers Band, who had their picture taken at Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, Georgia, and it was there that Dickey Betts found the inspiration for “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed”. The Midnight Blues is of course bluesy, the Brown Liquor Blues surprises with a honky tonk piano and with Don Nix's Black Cat Moan they skillfully cover a forgotten jewel. Feeling So Bad a duet with Schascle Yochim is classic Southern Soul that could have appeared on Stax in the 70s. There is also a bonus track for the European JukeJoint500 version with A Mule Named Whiskey. Finally, the classic LP-length album ends with the acoustic Sun Don't Shine.
Michael Allman pulls out all the stops on Blues Travels Fast without copying either his father or other Southern rock greats.
