Diese Aufnahme war bereits 2006 als "Live" (BLU DP0407) erschienen. Die hier vorliegende Ausgabe enthält erstmals das komplette Konzert inkl. 4 bisher unveröffentlichter Songs und in der Original-Reihenfolge.

Todd Thibaud gehört nicht nur zu den Künstlern der ersten (Blue Rose-) Stunde, er zählt zweifelsohne auch zu den populärsten, erfolgreichsten und fleißigsten des Labels. Zwischen 1997 und 2004 veröffentlichte er 4 Studio- und 3 Live-Alben, die beiden CDs von HARDPAN nicht mitgezählt. Der aus Vermont stammende und in der Nähe von Boston lebende Singer/Songwriter mit der markanten, einfühlsamen Stimme hatte schon immer das gewisse Gespür für Songs mit griffigen Melodien, ohrwurmartigen Hooklines und Texten, die aus seinem Leben erzählen.

Dass Thibaud vergleichsweise viele Live-Alben veröffentlicht hat liegt auch daran, dass er ein großartiger Performer auf der Bühne ist. Mit einer super eingespielten Band hinter sich schafft er es problemlos, die Qualität der Studioalben auf die Club-Bühnen zu übertragen. Mehr noch – die durchweg radiotauglichen und eingängigen Songs mit abwechslungsreichen Melodiebögen kommen druckvoll und energiegeladen aus den PA-Boxen und garantieren für eine ausgelassene Stimmung unter dem Publikum.
So war es auch bei der traditionellen Blue Rose Christmas Party in Heilbronn am 17.12.2004, wo Thibaud als Headliner fungierte und einen Querschnitt seines Schaffens zeigte. 23 Songs sind auf der Doppel-CD in attraktiver Digipak-Ausstattung vertreten, darunter Crowd-Pleaser wie „Little Mystery“, „Anywhere“, „Give Back My Heart“, „Sweet Destiny“ oder „St. Cecilia“, aber auch Songs vom jüngsten Album Northern Skies fehlten nicht. Coverversionen hat Todd Thibaud eigentlich nicht nötig, die Songs „Helpless“ von Neil Young oder Dylans „You Ain’t Going Nowhere“ sind mehr eine Verbeugung vor zwei seiner Vorbilder.

This recording was originally released in 2006 (BLU DP0407). The Bootleg edition for the first time contains the complete set including 4 previously unreleased tracks and in the original order.

Todd Thibaud not only was one of the first acts on the Blue Rose label (his debut album ""Favorite Waste of Time"" was released in 1997), he is one of the most popular, most successful and busiest Blue Rose recording artists. Between 1997 and 2004 he has released four studio and three live albums, not included two CDs with the Hardpan project. The Vermont native and outside of Boston living singer/songwriter with the unique and warm voice always had the incredible feeling for songs with catchy melodies, radio-friendly hooklines and lyrics telling stories of his life.

One of the reasons that Thibaud had released almost as many live albums as he put out studio records is because he is a great performer on stage. With a tight band behind him he easily manages to transfer the quality of the studio albums onto the stages of the music clubs. Even more – the melodic and remarkable songs are powerful and catchy and the guarantee for a fantastic live performance.

The perfect opportunity to show his gifted qualitites as a songwriter and performer was the Blue Rose Christmas Party in “Blue Rose Capital” Heilbronn on December 17, 2004. During the two hour set Thibaud played songs from his studio albums like “Little Mystery”, “Anywhere”, “Give Back My Heart”, “Sweet Destiny” or “St. Cecilia” plus many songs from his latest masterpiece ""Northern Skies"". Although Thibaud doesn’t need to include cover songs in the set he dedicated Neil Young’s “Helpless” and “You Ain’t Going Nowhere” by Bob Dylan to two of his idols.
