Bereits kurz nach dem Ende der Sex Pistols konnte sich Johnny Rotten (bzw. John Lydon, wie er sich fortan nannte) mit seiner neuen Band Public Image Limited eine neue Karriere aufbauen.
Die frühen Alben First Issue, Metal Box und Flowers Of Romance gelten heute als absolute Klassiker des Post-Punk und die Highlights eben dieser Alben sind auf diesem einzigartigen Rockpalast-Konzert vereint. Hinzu kommt eine rare, zu jener Zeit nur sehr selten gespielte Version des Sex Pistols-Klassikers Anarchy In The UK.

This concert , recorded at the Zeche in Bochum, Germany in 1983, is remarkable in many ways. It does not only contain the highlights of the first three albums like the song "Public Image" (played twice), haunting and rare versions of "Chant" or "Under The House", but also a seldom played version of the Sex Pistols classic "Anarchy In Tzhe UK" and a preview of some highlights of the by then forthcoming 1984 album "This Is What You Wanr...This Is What You Get", including one of the biggest PiL hits ever: "(This Is Not A) Love Song".

The bonus on this DVD is an interview with Rockpalast host Alan Bangs as well as ultra rare and never heard before rehearsals for the concert.
