Der New Yorker Singer/Songwriter kehrt mit seinem zweiten Album "Rob Me Blind" zurück. Sein von Kritikern gelobtes Debüt "Goddamned" erschien 2008, aber schon zuvor hatte Jay Brannan mit seiner Rolle in John Cameron Mitchell’s Film SHORTBUS (2006), in dem er auch seinen Song “Soda Shop” spielte, auf sich aufmerksam gemacht.
Für sein zweites Album hat sich Brannan als Produzenten den Grammy-GewinnerDavid Kahne (Regina Spektor, Paul McCartney, The Bangles) ins Boot geholt, der instrumentelle Texturen in JAYs Songwriting einbringt, die eine leicht neue Richtung für den minimalistischen Künstler andeuten, dabei aber das Typische eines Jay Brannan-Albums erhält: Brutale Ehrlichkeit, Scharfsinn und sprühende Melodien.

Rob Me Blind, Jay Brannan's second studio album, showcases a more intricately produced side of the singer-songwriter. Recorded by renowned producer David Kahne (Regina Spektor, Paul McCartney, The Bangles). Jay first turned heads in the acclaimed film Shortbus with the performance of his song "Soda Shop." Soon after, he released his critically acclaimed debut album goddamned in 2008 and his follow-up album In Living Cover in 2009. Both album releases were followed by sold-out dates around the world and a continual growing, devout online fan community.
