Nowhere Zone

Re-Issue des fünften Studioalbums der BRANDOS aus dem Jahr 1998, erstmals erhältlich als Vinyl-Edition, limitiert auf 300 Stück und handnummeriert.

Seit nunmehr über 30 Jahren begeistern The Brandos mit handgemachtem Rock & Roll, der bluesgetränkte Gitarrenattacken enthält, gemischt mit Country- und Folk-Anleihen, die tief in der amerikanischen Musiktradition verwurzelt sind.

The Brandos, die von dem Film "The Wild One" derart begeistert waren, dass sie sich nach dessen Hauptdarsteller Marlon Brando benannten, formierten sich 1986 in der Besetzung David Kincaid (voc, g, mand, banjo), Ed Rupprecht (g), Larry Mason (dr) und Ernie Mendillo (b, voc) in New York City.

In der Besetzung Dave Kincaid, Ernie Mendillo, Frank Giordano und Frank Funaro erschien im Oktober 1998 das Album Nowhere Zone. Das Album war „eine Rückkehr zum klaren amerikanischen Rock“ (Pressetext). Von den Fans besonders herbeigesehnt, enthielt die CD die verbliebenen sechs Songs der unveröffentlichten Platte Trail By Fire.

Nowhere Zone is the re-issue of the fifth studio album of THE BRANDOS from 1998, available for the first time on vinyl, limited to 300 copies and handnumbered.

They owe their name to their love of Marlon Brando. Their fans know them as one of the most vital American live rock bands of the 20th century’s final decades. THE BRANDOS, known for timeless classics like “The Solution” and “Gettysburg” and their straight and true rock sound, were founded in 1986 with the line-up of David Kincaid (voc, g, mand, banjo), Ed Rupprecht (g), Larry Mason (dr) and Ernie Mendillo (b, voc) in New York City.

Featuring the line-up Dave Kincaid, Ernie Mendillo, Frank Giordano und Frank Funaro in October 1998 the album Nowhere Zone had been released. It was a return to the „true American rock music“ (press release) and contained the remaining six tracks from the unreleased album Trail By Fire.

The re-issue contains the ten original songs plus three bonustracks which haven’t been available on any regular Brandos album before („Twenty Flight Rock“, an Eddie Cochran cover, the Chuck Berry song „Have Love Will Travel“ and the John Fogerty tune „Sinister Purpose“.
