All In

In den 2000ern gehört das prominent besetzte Quartett US Rails zu den verlässlichsten und fleißigsten Acts auf dem schwäbischen Blue Rose-Label. Nicht weniger als 5 kapitale Studioproduktionen haben die Amerikaner - neben etlichen Live-, Cover- und Acoustic-Alben - allein in der vergangenen Dekade herausgebracht, zahlreiche Europatourneen führten zu einer ständigen Vergrößerung ihrer Fangemeinde. Dabei sind Ben Arnold, Tom Gillam, Scott Bricklin und Matt Muir (sowie zu Beginn auch noch Joseph Parsons) jeder für sich starke Singer/Songwriter-Charaktere mit einer langen Liste von individuellen Soloprojekten.
All In heißt das brandneue Werk, seine 10 ausschließlich selbstgeschriebenen Stücke strotzen nur so vor Tatendrang, Vielseitigkeit und dem bandtypischen Sound von melodischem Rock'n Roll voller Gitarrenlast und Stimmenseligkeit! Nach fast drei Jahren zwischen dem Vorgängeralbum Live For Another Day und All In und rechtzeitig zur 7-wöchigen Tour durch Deutschland, Spanien und Italien liegen CD und Vinyl vor - die 10 Tracks beweisen, dass die Vier absolut nichts verlernt haben - im Gegenteil: Alles zeugt hier davon, dass man in der Pause enorm viel Kraft und Kreativität getankt, sich mit großer Freude in die Recording Sessions gestürzt hat! Scott Bricklin singt zum Start das von ihm selber geschriebene „My Old Friend“, einen vehementen Rocker mit unwiderstehlichem Refrain und legt das Qualitätslevel gleich weit nach oben. Ben Arnold mit seiner markanten soulig-rauchigen Leadstimme steht mit „Light My Way“ in nichts nach. Mit dem eingängigen „Reckless Heart“ gelingt Gitarrist und Sänger Tom Gillam ein weiteres der für ihn so typischen Midtempo-Stücke. Und wie auf jedem der letzten US Rails-Alben ist es schon zur Tradition geworden, dass auch der vierte Mann, Matt Muir, hauptamtlich Drummer, aber auch als Recording Engineer und Mixer verantwortlich für den Sound, mit „Promise Broken“ einen Song auf All In beisteuert. Die restlichen Songs, die wie die bereits erwähnten auch locker als eigenständige Singles durchgehen würden, sind „brüderlich“ aufgeteilt und strotzen vor Spielfreude.

In the 2000s, the prominent quartet US Rails was one of the most reliable and hard-working acts on the Swabian Blue Rose label. The Americans released no fewer than five major studio productions – in addition to numerous live, cover, and acoustic albums – in the past decade alone, and numerous European tours led to a steady growth of their fan base. Ben Arnold, Tom Gillam, Scott Bricklin, and Matt Muir (as well as Joseph Parsons at the beginning) are each strong singer/songwriters in their own right, with a long list of individual solo projects.
All In is the name of the brand-new album; its 10 entirely self-written tracks are bursting with drive, versatility, and the band's typical sound of melodic rock 'n' roll, full of guitar power and vocal bliss! After almost three years between the previous album Live For Another Day and All In, and just in time for the 7-week tour through Germany, Spain, and Italy, the CD and vinyl are available. The 10 tracks prove that the four haven't forgotten anything – quite the opposite: everything here testifies to the enormous energy and creativity they gained during the break, and they threw themselves into the recording sessions with great joy! Scott Bricklin opens with his self-penned "My Old Friend," a vehement rocker with an irresistible chorus, immediately raising the quality level significantly. Ben Arnold, with his distinctive, soulful, smoky lead vocals, is in no way inferior with "Light My Way." With the catchy “Reckless Heart,” guitarist and singer Tom Gillam creates another of his typical mid-tempo pieces. And as with every recent US Rails album, it's become a tradition for the fourth man, Matt Muir, full-time drummer but also responsible for the sound as a recording engineer and mixer, to contribute a song to All In with "Promise Broken." The remaining songs, which, like the ones already mentioned, could easily pass as standalone singles, are divided "brotherly" and brim with joy.
