Seit Jahren spricht Rich Hopkins nach jedem neuen Album davon, dass das nun das letzte sein wird, das er veröffentlicht. Und doch überrascht er uns immer wieder mit neuen Songs, die er mit seinen Luminarios, die sowohl in Tucson, Arizona, als auch in Austin, Texas, beheimatet sind und Rich und seine Ehefrau Lisa hin und her pendeln. Was hat er denn zum neuen Album „Heart And Soul“ als Begründung zu sagen? „Lisa and I are proud to release our new album Heart and Soul which was recorded in Austin, Texas this year. I thought I was done writing and recording but my God inspired me again to write more music with Lisa. There are some guests : Salvador Duran from Tucson on Amor de la calle and Hannah Novak singing some beautiful harmonies on Beautiful Day and Heart and Soul. Is this.our 30th Luminarios album?! Might be our best album ever!? Who knows. you be the judge. But I love it! So grateful to the players on this album: Jon, Lisa, Russ. Mike and Paul. And especially to Lars who is an amazing engineer. Love and miss you!“
Für „Heart And Soul“ wurden 12 neue Songs produziert und bis auf „Amor de la Calle“ von Rich und Lisa komponiert.Lisa Novak ist ja nun schon seit vielen Jahren festes Bestandteil der Luminarios und trägt auch regelmäßig mit eigenen Songs zu den Alben bei. Dass sie das sehr gut beherrscht, bewies sie nicht erst mit ihren eigenen Veröffentlichungen, und so passen auch ihre Beiträge auf „Heart And Soul“ wie schon auf den vorherigen Luminarios-Alben bestens dazu. Nicht nur kompositorisch, sondern auch durch ihre Stimme, die meistens mehr im Hintergrund bleibt und ihrem Ehemann den Vorzug gibt. Rich dominiert natürlich wie immer mit seiner unverkennbaren Gitarrenarbeit und immer wieder hörenswerten Soli, die einem Luminarios-Album den besonderen Sound geben. Wenn Rich Hopkins & Luminarios denn nicht mehr auf Tour nach Deutschland und Europa kommen sollten, dann erfreuen sich die Fans wenigstens an einem neuen Album, was bei „Heart And Soul“ definitiv wieder der Fall ist.

For years, Rich Hopkins has said after each new album that it will be his last. Love and miss you!“ Twelve new songs were produced for "Heart And Soul," all but "Amor de la Calle" composed by Rich and Lisa. Lisa Novak has been an integral part of the Luminarios for many years and regularly contributes her own songs to the albums. She has proven her talent for this not only with her own releases, and her contributions to "Heart And Soul," as with previous Luminarios albums, fit perfectly. This is evident not only in her compositional skills but also in her vocals, which generally remain in the background, giving precedence to her husband. Rich, of course, dominates as always with his unmistakable guitar work and consistently impressive solos, which give each Luminarios album its distinctive sound. If Rich Hopkins & Luminarios decide not to tour Germany and Europe again, fans can at least enjoy a new album, which is definitely the case with "Heart And Soul."
