Die Mayflies USA feiern nach über 20 Jahren Pause mit ihrem Album „Kickless Kids“ ein triumphales Comeback. Die Band hat nichts von dem verloren, was sie einst berühmt gemacht hat: die grandiosen Harmonien, die eingängigen Refrains und die markanten Gitarrenriffs sind auch auf den neuen Songs präsent. The band has not lost any of the ingredients that gained them their initial notoriety - the glorious harmonies, the ear worm choruses, and the edgy guitars are all present on this new batch of songs. Standout songs include: "Calling the Bad Ones Home," "Cabbagetown," "Less Lost," and the title track. However, the entire set plays more like a "best of" collection, the songs are that strong.
