Tom Gillam, singer, songwriter, guitar player extraordinaire, New Braunfels’ beloved morning show DJ host for Radio KNBT and connected with Blue Rose Records for many many years, has been and continues to undergo treatment for large B cell lymphoma.
Tom and his wife Caroline are at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston getting treatment to eradicate the cancer. Tom has undergone an array of tests and treatments, including PET scans, echocardiograms, CT scans, and blood draws. Tom has received 4-hour infusions of chemotherapy daily and will be admitted into the hospital where he will receive CAR T Cell therapy.
The expenses that Tom and Caroline have incurred are enormous, including medical bills, frequent travel costs to and from MD Anderson, expenses related to lengthy stays in Houston for treatment, and more.
