Bunt gemischt mit zahlreichen Neuheiten, außergewöhnlich vielen Live-Stücken sowie einigen “Nuggets” aus dem reichhaltigen Katalog zeigt sich die 47. Ausgabe unserer exklusiven Mailorder Only-CD-Serie. Mit Greg Trooper und Paul Thorn dürfen wir zwei weitere großartige Singer/Songwriter in der Blue Rose-Familie begrüßen. Greg Trooper verfolgt uns schon seit vielen Jahren mit außergewöhnlichen Alben und sein neuestes Werk „Upside-Down Town“ ist da keine Ausnahme. Paul Thorn war uns dagegen erst beim Americana Music Festival in Nashville 2010 aufgefallen, als er mit seiner Band einen fulminanten Set hingelegt hatte, dabei hatte der ehemalige Profiboxer aus Tupelo, Mississippi bereits 1997 mit „Hammer & Nail“ sein Debütalbum veröffentlicht. Cindy Bullens’ neues Album „Howling Trains And Barking Dogs“ war zwar bereits Mitte 2010 in den USA veröffentlicht worden, was uns allerdings nicht daran soll, das schöne Americana-Werk nun auch in Europa zu veröffentlichen. Mit einem weiteren Song der Parsons Thibaud-Show vom 12.11.2007 in Heilbronn schließen wir langsam die Lücke der „Missing Tracks“ dieses denkwürdigen Konzerts, und auch die Bottle Rockets hatten auf ihrem bereits legendären Live-Album nicht alle Stücke freigegeben wie etwa „Happy Anniversary“, das damals noch brandneu war und auf dem Album „Zoysia“ erscheinen sollte. Joseph Parsons ist gleich nochmals vertreten mit seinen beiden Songs der Blue Rose Christmas Party 2008, wo jetzt nur noch Todd Thibaud fehlt, dessen beide Beiträge auf der Nuggets Nr. 48 veröffentlicht werden.
Lots of new releases, unusal bunch of live tracks plus a few "nuggets" from the large catalog feature the 47th edition of our little mailorder-only CD series. A big "welcome" to the Blue Rose family goes out to the great singer/songwriters Greg Trooper and Paul Thorn. Both have fantastic new albums out and we are very honored to have them on Blue Rose. Although Cindy Bullens is a longtime family member her latest album "Howling Trains And Barking Dogs" was released in the US in mid 2010 before we made a deal for Europe. Another song from the Parsons Thibaud show and a previously unreleased song from the Bottle Rockets live album "Heilbronn 2005" are very rare and not available anywhere else. Joseph Parsons is on the record with another contribution - his two songs from the Blue Rose Christmas Party 2008.
