Gleich sechs Songs aus brandneuen Album-Veröffentlichungen in den ersten Wochen des Jahres 2013 machen fast 50% der 59. Ausgabe der Blue Rose-exklusiven CD-Serie Blue Rose Nuggets aus. Sind Markus Rill und die Resentments langjährige Künstler unseres Labels, dürfen wir nicht nur die US-Band Uncle Lucius als neues "Familienmitglied" begrüßen, sondern auch die kanadischen Acts Amelia Curran, Jenn Grant und Whitehorse. Alle 3 Singer/Songwriter und Bands gehören zum Künstlerstamm des etablierten Labels Six Shooter Records, mit dem wir einen Kooperationsvertrag abgeschlossen haben und ab sofort alle deren Neuheiten hierzulande auf Blue Rose veröffentlichen werden. Bisher unveröffentlichte Stücke kommen diesmal von Carolyn Wonderland, Leeroy Stagger und Tom Gillam. Alle drei Songs wurden live im gleichen Venue mitgeschnitten, im Music Star in Norderstedt, gleich um die Ecke zu Hamburg gelegen. Wolfgang Sedlatschek und seine Mannschaft sind einer der Institutionen, die kleine Nischenlabels wie Blue Rose benötigen, damit eine aktive Live Music-Szene aufrecht erhalten werden kann. Neben Live-Mitschnitten stellt der Music Star auch professionelle Videoclips her, die zahlreich auf YouTube und Facebook zu finden sind. Six songs from brand new album releases in the first few weeks in 2013 are covering app. 50% of the 59th edition of our little exclusive mailorder-only CD series Blue Rose Nuggets. Markus Rill and The Resentments are longtime label artists, a big "Welcome" goes out to our new "family members" Uncle Lucius, a great rock band from Austin, Texas, plus the Canadian acts Amelia Curran, Jenn Grant, and Whitehorse. All the three Canadians are on the popular label Six Shooter Records in their home and are the start of a cooperation between Blue Rose and Six Shooter. Previously unreleased songs this time are from Carolyn Wonderland, Leeroy Stagger and Tom Gillam. All three tracks have been recorded live at the same venue in Germany, the Music Star in Norderstedt, located close to Hamburg. As always a handful of catalog numbers are part of this Blue Rose Nuggets compilation.
