Surrounded by several songs from the huge Blue Rose catalog, getting bigger and bigger in the thirteen years of the label's existance, there are not just a few brand new releases but also releases from new "family members" as Willie Nile, Mark Olson & Gary Louris or Leeroy Stagger as part of the trio (Tim) Easton Stagger (Evan) Phillips. A video of Julian Dawson, recorded during his most recent band tour, is a snippet of a live CD+DVD set to be released in 2009. Rare gems on this issue are previously unreleased live tracks - all covers - by The Bottle Rockets ("Walk On" from Neil Young), Steve Wynn & the Miracle 3 ("Play It All Night Long" from Warren Zevon) and the Beach Boys' "Farmer's Daughter", performed by the Continental Drifters.
