Die 65. Ausgabe der nur im Blue Rose-Mailorder erhältlichen CD-Serie Blue Rose Nuggets wechselt sich ab zwischen Studio- und Live-Aufnahmen, wobei vier der Live-Stücke bisher unveröffentlicht sind: Die Bottle Rockets mit dem Neil Young-Cover "Lookout Joe", The Departed mit Seth James an den Lead Vocals und mit einer fetten Version der Steeldrivers, Jason & The Scorchers mit einem Song aus ihrem 96er-Album Clear Impetuous Morning sowie das Blue Rose Rockestra mit US-Rails-Bassist Scott Bricklin und dem Beatles-Cover "I've Just Seen A Face". Das R.E.M.-Cover zu "Finest Worksong" von den Sons Of Bill stammt aus dem Album With Kerosene Instead, das es für einige Zeit nur als digitalen Download gab. Die Studiotracks stammen sowohl von aktuellen Alben (die David Grissom-Nummer ist aus dessen Blue Rose-Debüt enthalten, das im Februar 2014 erscheinen wird) als auch vom umfangreichen Katalog unseres Labels.
The fifteen tracks on the 65th edition of the Blue Rose mailorder-only CD series Blue Rose Nuggets switch from live to studio songs after each number. Four of the seven live tracks on this compilation are previously unreleased - The Bottle Rockets with the Neil Young cover "Lookout Joe", The Departed with Seth James on lead vocals and a rocking version of a Steeldrivers original, Jason & The Scorchers performing a song from their 1996 album, Clear Impetous Morning, and last but not least the Blue Rose Rockestra featuring US Rails bassist Scott Bricklin with the Beatles cover "I've Just Seen A Face". The R.E.M. cover of "Finest Worksong" by Sons Of Bill is taken from their shortly available digital-only album With Kerosene Instead. The studio songs are taken from current Blue Rose releases (the David Grissom track appears on his Blue Rose debut album How It Feels To Fly, available on February 7th) and from the extensive label catalog.
