Journeyman

Seit 1997 veröffentlichen wir auf Blue Rose Records die Alben von STEVE WYNN, sei es als Solokünstler als auch mit seiner Band Miracle 3. Hin und wieder sind da auch CDs dabei, die nicht über den regulären Handel vertrieben werden, sondern lediglich bei den Konzerten von Steve und über den Blue Rose-Webshop erhältlich sind. So ist das jetzt auch wieder mit dem Live-Album Journeyman. Aufgenommen während der jüngsten Solo-Tour in Deutschland am 24. Mai 2023 im Music Star in Norderstedt, enthält die CD 15 Stücke, die zeitlich zurückgehen bis zu den Anfängen von The Dream Syndicate bis hin zum aktuellen Album des Baseball Projects, und natürlich fehlen auch Songs aus seinen zahlreichen Soloalben nicht.
Die Auflage ist auf 1.000 Stück limitiert.

Warum der Titel Journeyman? Steve erklärt: "Ich bin der Reisende. Und ich ziehe von Stadt zu Stadt. Genau wie es im Lied heißt. Bei all den Shows, die ich im Laufe der Jahre gespielt habe, bleibt jeder Abend ein neues Abenteuer und eine einzigartig leere Tafel, in die ich brandneue Erinnerungen eingravieren kann. Meine Koffer immer gepackt halten? Sicher, aber während der physische Teil mit Kleidung, Gitarrensaiten und verschiedenen Gegenständen zum Überleben auf der Straße gefüllt ist, enthält der metaphorische Teil Lieder und eine mentale Ausrüstung, um jedes Rätsel zu lösen, das mir in einer bestimmten Nacht bevorsteht. Diese Live-Aufnahme stammt von einem dieser Abende, an denen weder Werkzeuge noch Rätsel zu lösen waren. Glatt wie Seide und gekonnt eingefangen von Wolfgang und dem Rest der Bande im Music Star. Ich freue mich, euch an diesem Abend dabei zu haben. Das Auto fährt um Mitternacht ab."

We are releasing STEVE WYNN's albums on Blue Rose Records since 1997, both as a solo artist and with his band Miracle 3. Every now and then there are also CDs put out that are not sold through regular retailers, but only available at Steve’s concerts and through the Blue Rose webshop. It's the same again with the live album Journeyman. Recorded during the most recent solo tour in Germany on May 24, 2023 at the Music Star in Norderstedt, the CD contains 15 songs that go back in time to the beginnings of The Dream Syndicate to the current Baseball Project album, and of course are also songs from his numerous solo albums not missing.
The edition is limited to 1,000 copies.

Why the album title Journeyman? Steve explains: “I am the journeyman. And I do go from town to town. Just like it says in the song. For all of the shows I have played over the years, every night remains a new adventure and a uniquely empty slate upon which to etch brand new memories. Always keep my bags packed? Sure, but while the physical one is filled with clothes and strings and various items for road survival, the metaphorical one holds songs and a mental took kit to solve whatever puzzle lays in front of me on any given night. This live recording was from one of those nights that needed no tools and had no puzzles to be solved. Smooth as silk and captured expertly by Wolfgang and the rest of the gang at the Music Star. I’m glad to have you along for the evening. The car leaves at midnight.”
