Für sein elektrisierendes 21. Studioalbum „CHASING THE SUN“ versammelte der gefeierte Singer-Songwriter und Meistergitarrist Colin James eine gewaltige Liste musikalischer Gäste – Americana-Ikone Lucinda Williams, Mundharmonika-Ass Charlie Musselwhite und der legendäre Produzent-Gitarrist Colin Linden, um nur drei zu nennen - um sieben glühende Blues-Rock-Originale und vier umwerfende Cover zu verstärken. Das neue Album wurde gemeinsam mit seinem langjährigen Kumpel Tom Wilson (Blackie and the Rodeo Kings) und den MacDonald Brothers (The Trews) geschrieben und zeigt, wie James kraftvoll auf einem Repertoire aufbaut, das ihm acht JUNO Awards, 31 Maple Blues Awards und die Aufnahme in die Band eingebracht hat die Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame.
Die Karriere von Colin James erstreckt sich über 35 Jahre und kann auf eine Erfolgsbilanz von 20 Studioalben und mehrfach mit Platin ausgezeichneten Plattenverkäufen zurückblicken. Seine Veröffentlichung „Open Road“ aus dem Jahr 2021 gewann den JUNO Award für das beste Blues-Album und wurde 2023 für das beste Blues-Rock-Album der Blues Foundation nominiert. Colin ist weiterhin mit seinem Trio, seiner kompletten Band und der Little Big Band in ganz Kanada ausverkauft. Er tritt ausgiebig in den USA auf und wird später im Herbst eine einwöchige Blues-Flusskreuzfahrt in Frankreich unternehmen.

Colin James' career has spanned over 35 years, with a track record that includes 20 studio albums and multi-platinum record sales. His 2021 release, Open Road, won the JUNO Award for best Blues Album and was nominated for Blues Foundation best Blues Rock Album in 2023. Colin continues to sell out shows across Canada with his trio, full band and The Little Big Band. He performs throughout the US extensively and later this fall will embark on a blues river cruise for a week in France.
