März, wo er ebenfalls als "Best Original Song" nominiert ist und sehr gute Chancen hat. Außerdem gibt es neue Stücke von John Hiatt, Reckless Kelly und Kasey Anderson. Bisher unveröffentlichte Live-Mitschnitte von Tom Gillam sowie gleich zwei Beiträge der Blue Rose Christmas Party 2008 und 2009 runden diese 42. Ausgabe gebührend ab.

Fully packed with 15 songs plus an awesome video by Kris Kristofferson's "Closer To The Bone", this issue again features tracks of new Blue Rose- and New West releases as well as songs from the 15 year catalog of the label. Ryan Bingham's contribution "The Weary Kind" already has received a Golden Globe award and we are looking forward to the Oscar Award ceremony on March 7th where the song got a nomination for "Best Original Song". There are more new tracks on this compilation by John Hiatt, Reckless Kelly, and Kasey Anderson. Previously unreleased live recordings of Tom Gillam plus two contributions of the Blue Rose Christmas Party 2008 and 2009 are the icing on the cake of Nuggets Vol 42.
