Aus einer bunten Mischung von aktuellen und brandneuen Songs sowie Stücken aus 18 Jahren Blue Rose Records besteht die 62. Ausgabe der nur über den Blue Rose-Mailorder erhältlichen CD-Serie Blue Rose Nuggets. Unter den Neuheiten befinden sich mit Chip Taylor und David Olney auch zwei sehr populäre Singer/Songwriter, die über das schwedische Label Rootsy aktuelle Alben am Start haben. Für Rootsy haben wir vor einiger Zeit die Vermarktung in Deutschland übernommen, nachdem sich die beiden Plattenfirmen schon seit vielen Jahren persönlich kennen und diese Verbindung nun intensiviert worden war. Mit den Del-Lords, Willie Nile, den Whipsaws und Leeroy Stagger sind gleich vier neue Alben im Juni und Juli am Start, wobei wir uns über die Rückkehr von Willie Nile und das Signing der Del-Lords ganz besonders freuen. Leeroy Stagger hat mit Steve Berlin von den Los Lobos einen erfahrenen Produzenten für sein neues, bereits 4. Album für Blue Rose, gewinnen können, und das Ergebnis ist schlicht umwerfend. Die Whipsaws aus Alaska sind in dieser Neuheitenriege zwar die Underdogs, müssen sich mit ihrem 3. Album nicht verstecken. Mit mächtig Power sind sie nach 5 Jahren zurück!
The content of the 62. edition of the Blue Rose mailorder exclusive CD series Blue Rose Nuggets is a colourful mix of brand new songs and catalog tracks. Among the new releases are the two very popular singer/songwriter Chip Taylor and David Olney with their latest albums on the Swedish Rootsy label. A few months ago we started a joint venture with the label, promoting, marketing and selling their albums in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With The Del-Lords, Willie Nile, the Whipsaws and Leeroy Stagger we have four new albums out on Blue Rose in June and July. We are very happy to have Willie back on the label with American Ride, one of his best albums to date, and we are very honored with the signing of the legendary Del-Lords from New York City for their first album in more than 20 years. Leeroy Stagger returns with the rocking Truth Be Sold, produced by Los Lobos member Steve Berlin. Although the Whipsaws are kinda underdogs to Willie Nile and the Del-Lords, they are back after five years with a great new album.
